Case Consideration and Consultations
Our firm handles only a limited number of cases at a time in order to ensure exceptional client service to the parties we represent. So that we may respond to prospective clients promptly and efficiently, we have developed a case consideration process through which you may submit the details of your case online.
Our Process
Step 1 – Potential Client Questionnaire (response usually within 24 hours). If you want to know whether Long River Law can help you with your legal case or question, please complete our Potential Client Questionnaire. We will review the information you provide, free of charge. If we are able to assist you, we will invite you to schedule a consultation.
Step 2 – Consultation (usually scheduled same or next day). We will provide an overview of the law as it applies to your legal matter. We will discuss your expectations, the pros and cons of various options, the steps involved, and estimated costs. We do not review documents as part of this determination.
Step 3 – Case Review. Before deciding whether to accept your case, it may be necessary for us to review documents or other evidence to determine the strengths and weaknesses of your case. You may also want more specific details regarding the possible outcomes via trial or settlement before engaging us. For this purpose, we would offer you a case analysis.
Step 4 – Legal Services Agreement. If we decide to take your case, and you decide you would like to hire us, we will prepare a Legal Services Agreement detailing the services we are being engaged to provide, our hourly rate, and the amount of the required retainer (advance deposit).
Until the firm has executed Legal Services Agreement with you and received payment of the retainer amount specified therein, no Attorney-Client relationship exists.
